Joseph King

Joseph “Joe” King has been the Tahoe District Manager for Sierra Pacific Industries (SPI) since 2023, managing approximately 150,000 acres of the company’s California ownership in Sierra, Nevada, Yuba, and Placer Counties. Previously, he served as a District Forester on SPI’s Tahoe District for nearly 8 years. Early in his forestry career, he held seasonal positions with Green Diamond Resource Company and the United States Forest Service. He also worked for the USC Viterbi School of Engineering from 2005 to 2011 before returning to university to earn a Bachelor of Science Degree in Forestry (Hydrology and Watershed Resources) from Humboldt State University. King is a member of the California Licensed Foresters Association and the Society of American Foresters. He has served as a steering committee member for the Forestry and Natural Resources Career Mentorship program since 2022.
