MISSION
The Joint Institute for Wood Products Innovation is dedicated to providing California forest product information, research, and analysis to increase economic drivers for healthy forests. Institute work focuses on long-term ecological and economic sustainability; education and outreach; increased forest resilience, long-term carbon storage, and local economies; and industry retention and development in California.

Joint Institute for Wood Products Innovation FY 2025_26 Grant Program Applicant List.
The Joint Institute grant program supports increasing the pace and scale of California’s sustainable forest restoration activities. Grant projects must (directly or indirectly) contribute to long-term forest ecosystem sustainability; forest health; carbon storage; and wood products, biofuels, or bioenergy. Proposals are ideally near-term market-related projects; however, medium- and long-term market-related projects with the potential for a larger industry impact will be considered.
